One crew from Broughton and one crew from West Ashland attended a first‑floor bedroom fire.
Firefighters used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire and a ventilation fan to clear smoke from the property.
Gas and electricity supplies were isolated as a precaution, and a thermal imaging camera was used to monitor temperatures.
Around 10 per cent of the room was damaged by fire, and 100 per cent by smoke damage.
