One crew from Amersham, one crew from Beaconsfield, one crew from Berkhamsted, and one crew from Hemel Hempstead attended a fire at a first‑floor flat, along with one officer.
Crews used four sets of breathing apparatus two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire, and a positive pressure ventilation fan was used to clear smoke from the property.
South Central Ambulance Service attended and took one person into their care after they were affected by smoke inhalation.
Around 40 per cent of the flat was damaged by fire, with 100 per cent affected by smoke damage.
Home fire safety visits were carried out at neighbouring properties.
