Two crews from West Ashland attended.
Firefighters were called to a kitchen fire on the ground floor of a detached property.
The fire is believed to have started from an unattended candle.
Approximately 50% of the ground floor was damaged by fire, and smoke damage to the rest of the property.
Firefighters provided oxygen to two teenage girls before being passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Firefighters used:
- Four breathing apparatus sets
- Two hose reel jets
- Positive pressure ventilation fan
- Thermal imaging camera.
Crews remained on scene for an extended period of time for damping down and checking for hotspots.
