Bungalow Fire

Bungalow Fire

Past

One crew from Gerrards Cross and one crew from Langley attended a fire at a bungalow.

Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and thermal imaging cameras.

Crews isolated the gas and electricity supplies and worked to prevent the fire from spreading to neighbouring properties.

The fire affected an area of the loft measuring approximately two square metres, with smoke also affecting the loft space of the adjoining property. Firefighters used natural ventilation to clear the smoke and spent considerable time removing roof tiles and damping down to extinguish hidden pockets of fire.

A reinspection was carried out later that evening using a thermal imaging camera. The property had cooled sufficiently and no further reinspection’s were required.
