Broughton Fire Station operates with a wholetime four watch shift system and on-call unit, providing 24/7 emergency cover while serving the community. Broughton Fire Station first opened in 1977 continuing to ensure agile fire and rescue cover for Milton Keynes and Buckinghamshire.

Incident Area/Reach/Serving

The station covers a diverse area that includes urban, rural, residential, and industrial zones. Key sites within the service area include the Xscape Building, Central Milton Keynes Shopping Centre, The Open University, and Milton Keynes University Hospital. The station ensures rapid response to emergencies across the eastern region of Milton Keynes and provides mutual aid to neighbouring fire stations within Milton Keynes and surrounding areas – West Ashland, Newport Pagnell and Olney.

Administrative Role

The station is strategically located to respond to a wide range of risks and also houses the County’s northern administrative office, including a Fire Safety Department providing enforcement and compliance of the Fire Safety Order 2005.

Drill Nights
