One appliance and crew from Broughton and one from West Ashland attended.
They located a fire in an airing cupboard on the first floor of a two-storey house.
The fire fighters used a bucket of water and provided immediate emergency care to a woman who was suffering burns to her foot.
The woman was passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
The firefighters completed a Home Fire Safety Check.
