Basement Fire

Past

Three crews (Two from High Wycombe, Beaconsfield) alongside an officer attended.

Firefighters were called to a fire located in the ground floor basement of a three-storey detached property, measuring approximately 12 by 8 meters. Around 40% of the basement was directly affected by fire, with 100% heat and smoke damage impacting the basement, ground floor, and first floor.

Gas and water supplies to the property were safely isolated by crews.

A safety cordon was established around the premises.

Firefighters used:

  • Four breathing apparatus sets
  • One main jet
  • One hose reel jet
  • Positive pressure ventilation fan

Crews remained on scene for an extended period to carry out turning over and damping down.
