Two crews attended (Broughton and West Ashland).
Firefighters were called to a fire located in a first-floor bedroom of a two-storey domestic property. The first floor was approximately damaged 50% by fire and 100% by smoke. One female and one male were out of the property on arrival and suffering from smoke inhalation, they were both passed into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Firefighters isolated the electrics to the property.
Firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- A thermal imaging camera
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
A crew from Broughton revisited the incident to carry out a reinspection at 3am and 7am on 11th April to check for hotspots using a thermal imaging camera.
