Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe attended, along with an officer.
Smoke was issuing from the window of a flat on the second-storey of a three-storey block of flats when they arrived.
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- Two main jets
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
The bedroom was 40 per cent damaged by fire, the flat was 100 per cent damaged by smoke.
The firefighters provided immediate emergency care to two women, treating them for the effects of breathing in smoke, before passing them into the care of South Central Ambulance Service. A third woman was also cared for by the ambulance service for the effects of smoke.
