Bedroom fire

Past

Two crews from West Ashland, one crew from Newport Pagnell and a turntable ladder from West Ashland, along with an officer, attended a fire at a linked detached domestic property.

Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera, a gas monitor and a triple extension ladder to tackle a fire on the first floor.

The roof partially collapsed, resulting in 100 per cent fire and water damage to the first floor and approximately 60 per cent water damage to the ground floor.

Crews carried out further damping down and turning over to extinguish hotspots and prevent further fire spread.

A reinspection was carried out and further checks were scheduled to ensure the property remained safe.
