Four crews from West Ashland attended, along with two officers.

Firefighters were called to, and extinguished, a conservatory fire joined to a semi-detached two-storey domestic property. The conservatory was well alight on arrival.  The fire had spread to the first floor and roof of the semi-detached property as well as to the roof of the neighbouring property. The fire had caused significant fire, smoke and water damage with the roof of the neighbouring property approximately damaged 30% by fire and smoke.

Firefighters used:

  • Five sets of breathing apparatus
  • Three hose reel jets
  • One main jet
  • A thermal imaging camera
  • A turntable ladder
  • A short extension ladder

Thames Valley Police and South Central Ambulance Service also attended.

A fire investigation was completed at the incident.

A crew from West Ashland revisited the property on three occasions to complete reinspections and check for hotspots.
