One appliance and crew from West Ashland, one from Broughton and one from Newport Pagnell attended, along with an officer.
A fire in a ground-floor corridor of a two-storey block of flats had affected the front door of a flat. The fire was out when they arrived.
The firefighters used natural ventilation to clear smoke from the communal areas of the building.
Thames Valley Police was notified.
