Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury attended, along with an officer.

Smoke was issuing from a derelict two-storey building when they arrived.

A small fire was located on the ground-floor of the building.

The firefighters rescued one man from the first floor of the building. He was cared for by South Central Ambulance Service for the effects of breathing in smoke.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan

Thames Valley Police was notified.
