Fire in industrial warehouse

Past

Eight crews were in attendance at the height of the fire, along with four officers. The crews attended from:

  • High Wycombe
  • Marlow
  • Princes Risborough
  • Beaconsfield
  • Maidenhead
  • Amersham
  • Eynsham

Smoke was issuing from a warehouse, around 80 by 60 metres in size, when they arrived.

The firefighters used:

  • Two main jets
  • One hose reel
  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One control unit
  • One support unit
  • Onsite machinery
  • Grab mats
  • A polyboom

The fire was located in a large sorting compartment for recycling materials.

Thames Valley Police also attended and enforced road closures while firefighters work at the scene.

The incident response began to be scaled back shortly after 5am, however road closures are likely to remain in place throughout the day (Tuesday 3 June) with firefighters continuing to contain and extinguish the fire.

Local business and residents may wish to keep doors and windows closed while the fire continues to generate smoke.

Water run off was being maintained by Thames Valley Waste Interceptor- Environmental Agency.

Update 03/06/2025 at 13:47 Firefighters have now left the incident, fire is out and no hotspots, the incident has now been handed over to the site manager.
