Appliances and crew from Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Services attended a fire in a single story commercial unit. Several units were damaged by fire and smoke. At the height of the incident seven appliances, an incident command unit and three officers were in attendance. To extinguish the fire and make the area safe Firefighters used the following

  • Six breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reel jets
  • Thermal imaging camera
  • Aerial appliance
  • Water carrier

One appliance and crew from West Ashland attended.

The fire, within a toilet area of non-residential building, was out when they arrived.

The firefighters used a thermal imaging camera and provided advice on how to naturally ventilate the area to clear smoke.

Two appliances and crews from Aylesbury and one from Hertfordshire attended, along with an officer.

The kitchen of a two-storey commercial building was smoke logged when they arrived.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan
  • A thermal imaging camera
  • Lighting

They isolated the electricity and gas supplies.

The kitchen was five per cent damaged by fire and 100 per cent damaged by smoke.

One appliance and crew from Aylesbury, one from Broughton, one from Newport Pagnell and two from West Ashland attended, along with four officers.

Smoke was issuing from a ground floor commercial unit, within a three-storey mixed-use building, when they arrived.

The firefighters used:

  • Six sets of breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reel jets
  • Two thermal imaging cameras
  • A turntable ladder
  • Small gear

The fire spread to affect the roof void of the commercial building, and three adjoining flats.

The kitchen of the commercial building was 100 per cent damaged by fire. The roof was 75 per cent damaged by fire. The three flats were 50 per cent damaged by water and 20 per cent damaged by fire.

 

One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, two from High Wycombe, one from Whitely Wood and from Gerrards Cross attended, along with two officers.

The fire was in a ground floor kitchen of a commercial building and affected the ground floor and first floor of the building.

The firefighters used:

  • Four sets of breathing apparatus
  • Two hose reels
  • Positive pressure ventilation
  • A thermal imaging camera
  • Small gear
  • A short extension ladder
  • A turntable ladder

Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe and one from Marlow attended, along with an officer.

A small fire, in a control unit within a commercial building, was out when they arrived.

The firefighters used a thermal imaging camera and isolated the control unit.

Eight appliance and crews attended, along with four officers.

The appliances and crews in attendance were from:

  • Aylesbury
  • Amersham
  • Bedfordshire
  • High Wycombe
  • West Ashland
  • Maidenhead

A fire had broken out within a silo located inside an industrial unit.

The firefighters used:

  • Three sets of breathing apparatus
  • One main jet
  • Two covering jets
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan
  • One turntable ladder
  • A thermal imaging camera

Around twenty per cent of the unit was damaged by fire and fifty per cent of the unit damaged by smoke.

Three appliances and crew from Broughton, West Ashland and Newport Pagnell attended a fire in a single story retail unit. The small fire was located in the till area of the store and was out before the arrival of crews. Firefighters removed the till for inspection and believe an electrical fault to be the cause of the fire. A thermal imaging camera was also used to check for hot spots. Incident was handed to the store manager.

One appliance and crew from Beaconsfield, one from Gerrards Cross, one from Slough and one from Maidenhead attended, along with an officer.

The building was evacuated and all services isolated.

The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel.
