One appliance and crew from Amersham, one from Gerrards Cross and two from Slough attended, along with two officers.

A fire in the air conditioning unit of a three-storey industrial building, was out when they arrived.

They isolated the effected unit and used a thermal imaging camera.

 

One appliance and crew from West Ashland, one from Broughton, one from Newport Pagnell, along with an officer attended.

A small fire was located within a two-storey warehouse unit.

The firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, a hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Eight appliances and crews, and four officers were in attendance at the height of the fire.

The appliances and crews attending were from:

  • Aylesbury
  • Newport Pagnell
  • Northamptonshire
  • West Ashland
  • Wheatley

A fire had broken out in a single-storey barn used as a workshop and had spread to affect two further units. The fire was generating a large amount of smoke and multiple calls to Thames Valley Fire Control Service.

The firefighters used:

  • Three main jets
  • Two hose reel jets
  • One water carrier
  • A mechanical digger
  • Two hay drags
  • Respirators

The electricity supply to the barn was partially isolated as the fire had spread to involve a consumer unit. UK Power network attended to help isolate the remaining electricity supply.

The firefighters provided advice to the occupants of a number of local properties who lost power during the incident.

The road was closed while they worked at the scene overnight. It reopened shortly before 8am the following morning. Firefighters remained on the scene until midday, with reinspection’s undertaken during the afternoon.

Thames Valley Police and the UK Power Networks also attended.

A fire in the roof of an electricity substation, affecting a large shop, was out when they arrived.

The shop was evacuated, and the firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check for signs of fire or heat.

The UK Power network was notified.

A fire had broken out in a ground floor shop located below two floors of flats.

The residents within the flats were evacuated.

The firefighters used:

  • Breaking in equipment
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan

Appliance and crew from Buckingham and West Ashland attended a fire in a shipping container which was being used as a boiler room. The container sustained both fire and smoke damage. To extinguish the fire and make the area safe Firefighters used

  • One breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel
  • Small gear

A small fire in the fan of a commercial freezer was out when they arrived.

The freezer had been isolated and the firefighters used a thermal imaging camera.

An alarm was sounding within an industrial unit, when they arrived.

They identified that a fire had occurred within a compressor unit. The fire was out, but had caused light smoke logging within a first-floor boiler room. The firefighters isolated the compressor and helped facilitate natural ventilation of the building.

They used a thermal imaging camera and provided advice.
