One crew from Broughton, one crew from Newport Pagnell and one crew from Winslow attended a fire at a waste recycling centre, involving a large refuse container measuring approximately 8 metres by 2 metres and containing waste metal.
Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet and one main jet to extinguish the fire
On‑site staff assisted by emptying the container using a mechanical grab, allowing crews to fully extinguish remaining hotspots.
Firefighters used thermal imaging cameras to monitor temperatures, which reduced to safe levels.
