Crews responded to a fire at a waste site involving an estimated 50 to 100 tonnes of domestic waste.
At the height of the incident, a total of six fire engines, a turntable ladder, a water carrier, and several officers attended.
Firefighters used four sets of breathing apparatus, four main jets, a turntable ladder to tackle the fire.
Firefighters will remain on scene for considerable amount of time, continuing to damp down hotspots, turn over waste materials and monitor environmental conditions.
