Two appliances and crews from High Wycombe and one from Beaconsfield attended.
The fire was out on arrival in a three-story residential building.
They gained access through the first-floor window using a short extension ladder.
There was light smoke logging in the property, but no damage from the fire.
The firefighters used a thermal imaging camera to check for any hotspots.
They also installed two smoke alarms and checked the smoke alarms in the neighbouring properties.
