Fire in unoccupied house

Past

One appliance and crew from High Wycombe and one from Amersham attended.

A fire in the ground floor of an unoccupied building was producing smoke that had travelled through the roof void and affected five additional properties.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel jet
  • A thermal imaging camera
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan
  • They isolated the electricity supply and removed items affected by fire.

The house was around 20 percent damaged by fire and around 80 per cent damaged by smoke.
