Four crews from Aylesbury, High Wycombe and Thame, supported by crews from Leighton Buzzard, along with three officers, attended a fire in the airing cupboard of a ground floor flat within a two‑storey building measuring approximately 10 by 40 metres.
Sprinklers within the property had activated prior to firefighters’ arrival, helping to contain the fire.
Firefighters used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
Crews then carried out ventilation and used a thermal imaging camera to check for any remaining hotspots.
The fire caused around 50 per cent smoke damage to the flat.
Crews remained on scene for a short time to ensure the area was safe before handing the incident over.
