Two appliances and crews from West Ashland, along with two officers attended.

Smoke was issuing from a two-storey terrace house. The fire was located on the ground floor in the living room.

The firefighters used:

  • Two sets of breathing apparatus
  • One hose reel
  • A positive pressure ventilation fan
  • Incident emergency care kit

The ground floor was approximately 50 per cent damaged by fire, and first floor were 100 per cent damaged by smoke.

Two men who were out on arrival and received care for smoke inhalation from South Central Ambulance Service.

A cordon has been put in place to make the area safe while fire crew remain on scene checking for hotspots and removing burnt material from the property.
