Three appliances and crews from West Ashland, along with two officers attended.
The fire was located on the ground floor of a terrace house.
The firefighters used:
- Two sets of breathing apparatus
- One hose reel jet
- A positive pressure ventilation fan
They also rescued a cat and a parrot from the property.
South Central Ambulance Service and Thames Valley Police also attended.
