Two crews from West Ashland attended.
Crews were called to a mobile phone on fire in a bin.
The fire was out on arrival of crews.
One adult was suffering effects of smoke inhalation, firefighters provided immediate emergency care and handed them into the care of South Central Ambulance Service.
Natural ventilation of the property was put into place to clear smoke.
A home fire safety visit was also carried out by firefighters.
