Two crews from West Ashland attended.
Firefighters were called to a two storey semi detached property with smoke issuing from underneath a wooden floor in a dining room.
Firefighters used small tools and small battery tools to remove an area of floor boards and plaster boards a thermal imaging camera was then used to check for signs of heat.
There was no sign of fire or heat.
A home fire safety visit was also carried out by firefighters.
