Thirteen crews and appliances (including two water carriers, one aerial ladder, one command support unit and an operational support unit) and eight officers attended at the height of the fire. The appliances were from:

A fire was located within a three-storey detached domestic dwelling building.
Firefighters worked hard at the scene using two sets of breathing apparatus, three hose reel jets, three main jets and an arial ladder platform. The electricity and gas supplies were isolated, and cordons were put in place.
Approximately 90 percent of the third storey and roof area was destroyed by the fire.
