Simon Tuffley

Head of Prevention, Response and Resilience

Simon is currently responsible for leading the Service’s Prevention and Response activities across Buckinghamshire and Milton Keynes.

Simon is also the Authority’s Senior Responsible Officer for the Thames Valley Fire Control Service.

Simon joined Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service in 1998 as an on-call firefighter, before going on to serve in many communities and various roles across the Service.

More recently, Simon’s work has involved a range of collaboration and alignment projects with a focus on enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the Service. He was also the strategic lead to the Service’s response and recovery from the Covid-19 Pandemic.
