Buckingham Fire Station

Buckingham Fire Station is a pivotal part of the local community.  With its location in North West Buckinghamshire it is well placed to respond to a vast area. It was first opened in 1973 and has remained on the same site since.  The station is crewed by 11 day crewed staff and 12 on-call staff ensuring agile fire and rescue cover for Buckinghamshire.

Incident Area – The station covers a diverse area that includes urban, rural, residential, and industrial zones. Key sites within the service area include number of major farming estates and country houses, some of which, such as Stowe, Charmandean and Akeley Wood, have been converted to independent day and boarding schools. In addition Buckingham station ground has a quickly expanding industry throughout the area including Silverstone race track, which hosts some of the country’s largest sporting events. The station ensures rapid response to emergencies across the north of Buckinghamshire, into Oxfordshire and Northamptonshire as well.

Special Equipment – The station is equipped with 2 fully equipped fire appliances. This equipment enables the team to handle a wide range of emergencies effectively.

Drill Nights – Training for Buckingham’s On-Call firefighters is held on Thursdays, starting at 19:00. These sessions are crucial for maintaining high readiness and skill levels. Interested in joining? Visit our recruitment page for more information.
