We’re hosting a Virtual On-Call Firefighter Experience Evening, open to anyone interested in learning more about the role of an On-Call Firefighter and whether it could be the right opportunity for you.
What to expect
This interactive online event is designed to give you an insight into what it’s really like to be an On-Call Firefighter.
During the session, you’ll hear from serving firefighters about their experiences, learn how the on-call system works, and discover the training, commitment, and rewards that come with serving your local community.
You’ll also receive an informative presentation covering:
- The role and responsibilities of an On-Call Firefighter
- Availability requirements
- Training and development opportunities
- Pay and benefits
- The recruitment process
There will also be a live Q&A session, giving you the opportunity to speak directly with firefighters and recruitment colleagues and ask any questions you may have about the role.
How to join
The event will take place online via Microsoft Teams. A joining link will be sent to all registered attendees before the event.
Who can attend?
Open to members of the public aged 17 and over.
Attendance is strictly limited to individuals who have successfully registered for the event.
